Mbazulike Amaechi served as the nation’s first aviation minister under the First Republic of Nigeria. One of the few Nigerians that took part in the Zikist Movement was Chief Amaechi. For many years, he was an active trade unionist, holding a full-time union office from 1949 to 1955.
