Michael Jeffries (born May 20, 1962) is a former player and current head coach of the Charlotte Independence in USL League One. He won the Hermann Trophy in 1983 and played professionally in the North American Soccer League and the Major Indoor Soccer League, collecting three caps for the United States.

From 1980 to 1983, Jeffries was a member of Duke University’s men’s soccer squad. Jeffries was chosen to represent the United States at the Maccabiah Games in Israel in 1981. In 1982, Duke advanced to the NCAA championship game before losing in eight overtimes against Indiana University.

Jeffries was a first-team All-American and the Hermann Trophy winner as the best collegiate player in 1983. Jeffries studied electrical engineering and public policy at Duke and graduated with honors.
