Michael P. Pratt, well known as Mike Pratt, was a former basketball player as a shooting guard and coach.
Born in Dayton, Ohio, United States, he had his high school education at Meadowdale High and further on attended the University of Kentucky.
While in college, he played basketball under coach Adolph Rupp and was a three-year letter winner.
Mike Pratt played for the Kentucky Colonels and was selected by the American Basketball Association draft in 1970.
After some years of playing, he moved on to become an assistant coach at UNC Charlotte under Coach Lee Rose.
He later took over as the head coach after Rose left for Purdue after the 1977-78 season.
Mike Pratt later became a radio analyst of University of Kentucky basketball games and later in 2009, he was inaugurated as a University of Kentucky Athletics Hall of Famer.
Pratt died on June 16, 2022, at the of 73.
