The Mortuary Workers Association of Ghana (MOWAG) has declared an indefinite strike action which is sending a signal that all deaths should be postponed.

They made their move known after their complaints submitted to the Health Ministry did not receive any fruitful outcomes.

General Secretary of MOWAG, Richard Kofi Jordan on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Thursday said the indefinite strike will begin on March 5, 2019.

“The chemicals we use give us five different kinds of cancers, the government is aware of this situation. We are also at risk of blindness but nobody is addressing our challenges,’’ he stated.

Their call for better conditions of service have been given little or no attention and that has prompted them to decide for themselves.
