On many cell phones there are musical tunes. Is it permissible to select one of these tunes instead of the regular ringing?
Praise be to Allah.
It is not permissible to use the musical
tunes on telephones or any other kind of gadget, because listening to
musical instruments is haraam as is indicated by the evidence of sharee’ah.
We should do without them and use the regular ringing. And Allaah is
the Source of strength.
