Controversial musician and political activist, Kwame Asare-Obeng a.k.a A plus has stated in an interview on GN Radio in the UK that, the decision by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to direct the Auditor General to go on leave means he supports corruption.

His comment follows an earlier directive by the president instructing the AG to compulsorily take his accumulated leave of one hundred and twenty-three days.

According to him, the Auditor General Mr. Daniel Domelevo is the only public official left in this country who is bent on fighting corruption and generating revenue for the state through thoroughly audits and surcharges.

He stated that, the president who promised to protect the public purse is rather wasting tax payers money on the office of the special prosecutor who has not been able to retrieve “even one cedi” for the state.

He made it clear on the show that he respects the president of the republic and have a good relationship with him but will not vote for him in the upcoming election because he failed to meet expectations.

Kwame Asare Obeng has been a key factor in the 2016 campaign of the New Patriotic Party. Even the President admitted that, “A plus was a brick in his campaign”
