American comic book creator Neal Adams was born on June 15, 1941. He was a co-founder of the graphic design company Continuity Associates and an advocate for artists’ rights who assisted the Superman founders, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, in obtaining pensions and recognition.

Throughout his career, Adams co-created the DC Comics characters Ra’s al Ghul, Man-Bat, and John Stewart.

In 1998, the Eisner Awards inducted Adams into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame; in 1999, the Harvey Awards inducted him into the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame; and in 2019, the Inkwell Awards inducted him into the Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame.

Neal Adams was born on New York City’s Governors Island. As the son of a military family, he grew up on army posts all over the world, from Brooklyn to Germany

He was a fervent follower of the Jewish faith. Adams received his secondary school diploma from the School of Industrial Art in Manhattan in 1959.

He’s accomplished a lot in his career throughout the years.
