The new overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Naa Abukari Mahama II according to reports shared on Mynewsgh.com few days ago, received a customized Jaguar Salon car from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during his coronation.
It was gathered that the brand new vehicle was towed to Yendi to be donated to the chief who was officially out-doored to begin his duties in accordance with customs and tradition of the area.
Yaa-Naa has boldly come out to refute such claims being made by some sections of the Ghanaian Media by saying he didn’t receive any form of gift from the president and or his entire entourage.
According to him, the gift was actually coming from a friend and added that the said gift came as a surprise to him, hence his facial expression on Friday when it was presented.
He however refused to disclose the name of his friend saying it will be virtually unfair to do so.
