Norman Gene Macdonald was a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer from Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Macdonald was born on October 17, 1959.

Norman Macdonald, as he was known, was known for his deadpan humor, interspersed with poetic and sometimes old-fashioned turns of phrase.

Throughout his career, Norman MacDonald appeared in a number of films. He was a popular comedian panelist on talk shows, with many critics hailing him as the “ultimate late-night comedy guest.”

Macdonald’s first work in television was writing for shows like Roseanne and The Dennis Miller Show when he was younger.

He got a job as a writer and cast member on Saturday Night Live in 1993. (SNL).

Macdonald was on the show for five seasons, including three and a half years as the host of the Weekend Update segment before being fired.

Meanwhile, he died on September 14, 2021, in Pasadena, California, at the age of 61.

The famous parents of Norm Macdonald are Percy and Ferne Macdonald. Both of Norm’s parents were educators.

Until Macdonald’s father died of heart disease in 1990, they worked at CFB Valcartier, a military base north of Quebec City.
