Zay Flowers revealed that he had a $7 million signing bonus.

Ravens’ first-round pick Zay Flowers had reached an agreement on a four-year, $14 million fully guaranteed contract with a $7.2 million signing bonus to be paid in 2023.

Flowers, a quick and elusive wide receiver, was selected by the Ravens with the 22nd overall pick in April’s NFL Draft.

Listed at 5 feet, 10 inches, he caught 78 passes last season with Boston College for 1,077 yards and 12 touchdowns.

He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds.

Flowers was the final first-round wide receiver to sign a contract with a team; Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Quentin Johnston, and Jordan Addison had already reached an agreement on terms for their four-year rookie contracts, all of which include fifth-year team options.

Of the six draught picks made by the Ravens, Flowers was the last to sign.

Flowers was the team’s top receiver at Boston College for three consecutive seasons, including the 2022 season, when he hauled in 78 passes for 1,077 yards and 12 touchdowns.

All Ravens supporters raise a collective eyebrow at Reuter’s anticipated figures for Flowers. The former Boston College star is expected to rack up 1,050 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on the strength of 85 receptions, according to Reuter.

Flowers is poised for a standout season when measured against Offensive Rookie of the Year winner from the previous year, Garrett Wilson (1,103 yards, four touchdowns on 83 receptions).

Wilson destroyed NFL defences last season, and it appears that many expect Flowers to do the same. The fact that Baltimore has many hungry people is the only thing that could prevent Flowers from moving forward.

Todd Monken’s offence sees Beckham Jr., Andrews, Bateman, Isaiah Likely, Nelson Agholor, and Devin Duvernay as essential players.

While Flowers’ expected figures from Reuter may appear unattainable at this time, if any rookie receiver is going to come close to Wilson’s performance from last season, it might be Flowers.
