American football player Otis Taylor played wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1965 to 1975.

While Taylor was playing college football for Prairie View A&M University, the Kansas City Chiefs made Taylor their fourth-round pick in the 1965 NFL Draft. As a wide receiver, he quickly rose to prominence and played a significant role in the Chiefs’ victory in the Super Bowl IV in 1970.

Throughout his career, Taylor caught 410 passes for 7,306 yards and 57 touchdowns. He was selected for the Pro Bowl three times and twice to the First Team All-Pro team.

Taylor was a skilled track and field athlete who won a gold medal in the 4100 meter relay at the 1963 Pan American Games in addition to his football career.

Despite his tremendous accomplishments, Taylor has failed to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on multiple occasions.
