Prior to transferring to Central Michigan University, Baroni attended Hofstra University and excelled as a collegiate wrestler, winning two All-American titles. Baroni obtained a degree in psychology while also majoring in biology. Baroni also participated in 6 amateur bodybuilding competitions between the ages of 17 and 20.
Baroni has a 10-8-0 professional MMA record. Baroni competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and currently has a 3-5-0 record. He is an excellent wrestler, despite being better known for his boxing skills and knockout power.
