Phil Foden was born on the 28th of May 2000 in England and always showed an obvious talent with the ball. He used to be a ball boy who watched professionals train and had come up through the English ranks before his big breakthrough in 2017 at just the young age of 17 when he won the ‘golden boy’ award with England in what was a successful Fifa U-17 World Cup campaign.
After his stellar performances for England, he was moved into the senior team at Manchester City where he immensely impressed Guardiola and in 2018, became the youngest recipient of the English Premier League winners’ medal.
