Obour ventured into politics after leaving as his role as the President of Musicians Union of Ghana. He is expectant of winning a parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NPP in the upcoming elections.
His tenure as the president of MUSIGA saw him receive a lot of bashing and criticism on his lackadaisical approach to the welfare of musicians.
