Ghana Police Service has arrested 26 NDC supporters (15 males and 11 Females) who were present at the demonstration leading to EC Office.
Earlier today, supporters of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, besiege roads leading to the Electoral Commission’s Office with massive protest against the EC chairperson,Jean Mensa, with calls for her to declare Mahama as President Elect and vacate her position.
The Police Service describe the demonstration as illegal according to Public Oder Act, 1994 (ACT 491) which requires organizers to duly notify the police ahead of intended demonstrations.
The service also stated that the protestors were burning car tyres along the streets, pelting stones and caused major Traffics all during the Demonstration.
