The former Metropolitan of Malankara Syriac Orthodox Church, Mar Polycarpose Zacharias, passed away at the age of 52. He died around 9.30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Hospital after suffering cardiac arrest.
He was known to the world to be the Metropolitan of Malankara’s Syriac Orthodox Church. He was on the advisory boards of St Mary’s College Meenangadi, St Peter’s & St Paul’s English Medium School, and Aramaia International Residential School, among others.
