His love for music began in Elementary school, where a teacher inspired him to DJ.
He dropped out of school in grade 11 and got a girl pregnant. This situation forced him to man-up and he began moving from club to club searching for menial jobs.
He found a Nigerian owned club where he was employed as a DJ. He earned enough money to rent a house and take care of himself.
He later signed up for a DJ competition on SABC1 in the year 2013 and won. He went on to become a judge on the 5th season of the show.
He has released hit singles such as Yonkinto, Charlotte, Friend Zone, Wajellwa among many others.
Samuel Mokhele, a Sharpville rapper, accused Kaybee of stealing his concept when working onWajellwa – a song that earned him a lot of recognition.
Kaybee also accused Davido and Casper Nyovest saying their Check on You Jam had similar chord progression as Charlotte – one of his hit singles.
