This logical term ”Question for the gods” is also a common term in most African countries especially in Nigerian, Yoruba land where logical and proverbial terms are often used to address situations and to serve as an advice to people.

 

This logical term on Question for the gods always comes to mind when matters in the political, economic, social and religious sectors keeps getting complicated by day. For example, when a citizen or group of people keeps changing their leaders or heads of states, for a long period of time and still see no change or improvement in their country or land, it leads to the logical term, ”Question for the gods” in their minds implying that, answers to the plight of citizens in a country doesn’t seems to get better anytime soon.

 

The huge promises of politicians who are not yet in power always sound convincing especially, when they are able to provide basic needs as part of their campaign strategies. They therefore, win the heart of the majority and come into power and do nothing about the present state of their people.

 

In addition, when majority of citizens continue to keep their hope in a political party to stay in power for another 4 years or more, even when they are leading the people astray, this leave others with the logical term, Question for the gods.

 

When it comes to the media space, it is popularly stated that, bad news sells or trends faster, therefore more of the bad news is what is heard of in the news on television, radio and in the newspapers. These unfortunate acts which happens in the political, economic, religious, media and in other sectors also leaves the people in a state of mind with the term, ”Question for the gods”. In fact, whether there will be a solution or way out of the crisis of the people in the country or not, people refers them all as ”Question for the gods”.
