Growing up she was a talented young athlete who finished second in the junior singles and Doubles competitions at the 2005 French Open.
She partnered with Mihaela Buzărnescu and won the doubles championship in the following years after at the US Open.
In the 2007 French Open, she defeated Julia Vakulenko in straight sets which is regarded as one of her best professional Grand Slam performances.
