Ray Coyle, who was born in 1951, founded Tayto Park, an amusement park in Ireland that was initially styled after the Irish potato crisp brand Tayto.

He began his career as a potato farmer and is best known for founding Largo Foods in 1982. Tayto, Hunky Dory, Perri, and King were among the top crisp brands acquired by the corporation.

Coyle later opened the Tayto Park theme park in Ashbourne, Co Meath, as well as the Ashbourne Zoo.

It first opened in 2010 and has since attracted more than five million visitors. On June 8, 2022, Ray died away peacefully at the age of 70.

Ray Coyle is survived by his wife, Roz, his son, Charles, and his daughter, Natalya. They will most likely be the beneficiaries of his estate.

Charles Coyle, his son, is currently the general manager of Tayto Park. Following his father’s death, he is expected to devote even more time to the park.
