Best known for his role as Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams(1989), Henry Hill in Goodfellas (1990) and Tommy Vercetti in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City(2002), Raymond Allen Liotta was an American actor and producer, born December 18, 1954, in Newark, New Jersey, United States.

Ray was abandoned at an orphanage and was adopted at the age of six months by township clerk Mary and Alfred Liotta an auto parts store owner.

Ray has a sister who was also adopted by his adoptive parents. He grew up in a Roman Catholic household in Union, New Jersey. He had a daughter named Karsen Liotta. Ray finally passed away on May 26, 2022, in the Dominican Republic.

Alfred, Ray’s adoptive father was an auto parts store owner. Born to Italian immigrants, Alfred was also a personnel director at a local Democratic Local Party Club.

Alfred got married to Mary and adopted Ray and Linda as children.

Mary was of Scottish descent and not much is known about her.
