Oxford began his junior career at the West Ham United academy, where he joined at the age of 13. He soon pleased the coaching staff with his talent and was promoted to the senior squad in the 2015-2016 season at the age of 16. On August 2, 2015, he made his professional debut for West Ham in a Premier League match against Arsenal, becoming the second-youngest player in Premier League history at the time.
Oxford spent time on loan at various clubs during his stay at West Ham in order to obtain more first-team experience.
Oxford moved to Germany in August 2020, signing a permanent contract with FC Augsburg. According to reports, the transfer cost was around €3 million.
