Robinson is qualified to play for both Chile and the United States because he was born in America to an American father and a Chilean mother.
Robinson signed an academy deal with Charleston Battery of the United Soccer League ahead of the 2017 season. On June 14, 2017, he made his professional debut as an 88th-minute replacement in a 3-2 loss to Atlanta United FC in the 2017 U.S. Open Cup.
He was called up to the Chile national team on August 23, 2021. He arrived in Santiago just days before three FIFA World Cup qualifying matches in 2022.
However, he acquired his Chilean passport and nationalisation documents on September 1, the day before the opening match against Brazil. On the same day, Robinson returned to Miami, stating that he wanted more time, to select which side to represent.
