Rosemary Radford Ruether was an American feminist scholar and theologian born on November 2, 1936, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States.

She was well known as one of the greatest Christian feminist theologians who made several important contributions to the field of feminist theology. She had a great interest in Christian feminism and Eco-feminist theology.

Ruether was highly educated at Scripps College from 1954 to 1958 and subsequently, Claremont Graduate School where she received a doctorate degree. She was much knowledgeable about women, nature, earth and the world around her.

Reuther was married to Herman Ruether, a political scientist. The two got married in the year 1957 and had three children.

Reuther died on May 21, 2022, in Pomona, California, the United States of America after a long term illness.
