Currently a midfielder for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and the Netherlands national team, Ryan Gravenberch was born Ryan Jiro Gravenberch in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on May 16, 2002.

Ryan Gravenberch enrolled at the Ajax Youth Academy in 2010 and advanced through the junior levels. On June 7, 2018, Gravenberch received the first-ever “Abdelhak Nouri Trofee,” which honors the top talent in the Ajax academy.

He committed to the club until 2023 on the same day he inked his first professional contract with Aja. He made his professional debut with Jong Ajax on August 24, 2018, in a 5-2 Eerste Divisie victory over FC Dordrecht.

Ryan Gravenberch made his senior debut with Ajax on September 23, 2018, in a 3-0 Eredivisie loss to PSV. He was the youngest Ajax player to play in the Eredivisie at the age of 16.

Gravenberch signed a five-year, €18 million contract with Bundesliga club Bayern Munich on June 13, 2022, with a further €5 million in variables paid to Ajax.
