Patrick Ryan Kerrigan was born on August 16, 1988. He played outside linebacker and tight end in American football for 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL).
He played college football for Purdue, where as a senior he was named a unanimous All-American. The Washington Redskins selected him in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Kerrigan has the record for the most consecutive starts by a left outside linebacker in NFL history in the 3-4 formation, where he spent the majority of his time at outside linebacker.
In his ten years with the team, he recorded 95.5 sacks and 26 forced fumbles, giving him the team record for both stats.

In 2021, after one season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Kerrigan made his retirement official.
Indiana’s Muncie is where Kerrigan was born.
While attending Muncie Central High School, he participated in football as a tight end and defensive tackle for the Muncie Bearcats.
He accumulated 90 tackles and 19 sacks as a senior defensive end, earning him all-state honors.
