S. Shajahan Chakravarthy was an Indian film producer in Tamil cinema, he produced a lot of Tamil movies, through his production firm, known as NIC Arts.
Ajith Kumar was starred in the majority of his movies. In the film Renigunta, which he also produced with his son Johnny (also known as Imran Chakravarthy), Johnny made his acting debut.
Johnny went on to star in the sequel 18 Vayasu. However, he was instrumental in establishing the Tamil film industry in 1950, and 1960. He produced several successful films under his banner, Chakravarthi Productions, including “Enga Veettu Pillai,” “Periya Idathu Penn,” and “Aayirathil Oruvan.”
Chakravarthy was known to be a talented actor and appeared in several Tamil and Telugu films. He was also known for his versatile performances and was highly regarded for his portrayal of character roles.
Chakravarthy was also involved in various social and political activities. He served as a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Council and was actively involved in the Indian National Congress party.
