South African authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of Mrs and Mr Bushiri who have fled South Africa to Malawi. South African authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of Mrs and Mr Bushiri who have fled South Africa to Malawi.

Apparently, they were arrested in October for fraud, theft, and money laundering to the value of over R100 million, along with their three co-accused.

The couple was released on bail of R200,000 each more than a week ago by the Pretoria Magistrates Court.

One of the bail conditions states that they must not leave South Africa. However contrary to this, the couple have fled to their home country Malawi and he has given 5 conditions to be met, if not he won’t report back to SA.

Well, on Monday afternoon, it was officially announced that the South African Government has issued warrant of arrest for the escaped Prophet Shepheard Bushiri and his wife, Mary.

Starting from Sunday night, 15th of November, the founder of Enlightened Christian Gathering church and his wife confirmed that they have left SA as their safety wasn’t promised.

The National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa said it would bring an application in terms of the Criminal Procedure Act for a warrant of arrest for fugitives Shepherd and Mary Bushiri.
