Sadaf Naeem, a journalist for a private news station, died on Sunday after being suffocated by a PTI container during a tiresome march from GT Road Lahore to Kamoke.
Sadaf’s husband Naeem told reporters that their daughter first learned of her passing after watching her on television. The Son and daughter of the couple are 21 and 15, respectively.
He stated, “My daughter watched it on television and said she looked like her mother,” adding that his kids begged Sadaf to back out of the assignment but she refused.
Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, announced after the event that the march will halt for the day but resume the following day.
Speaking to the gathering, Khan disclosed that the march’s intended destination was Kamoke, located in Gujranwala. However, due to the tragic event, we will immediately call off the march.
In addition, Khan sent his sympathies to the deceased’s family and promised to pray for the soul of the departed.
