During a surprise attack, he was duped, and 30 per cent of his body was horribly burned.

Sam Brown Nevada became an Army commander after West Point and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2008.

He believes he “had the opportunity to command men in combat” there.

A few months later, a party from his company was ambushed while on a humanitarian expedition. Brown rushed over to assist.

Sam Brown Nevada was on the verge of failing. His finger was amputated.

He was severely burned all over his face and body, altering his appearance for the rest of his life. He was in for a long arduous battle and a year of recovery.

Brown, on the other hand, did not marry and spent the rest of his life with his spouse.

He was exhausted and worn down. His thinking was causing him problems. Sam’s religion was causing him problems.

He was aware that there was a reason he hadn’t died.

The long journey had taught the West Point grad humility. He eventually became a conservative and ran for the United States Senate as a result of it.
