Samantha Stosur is an Australian tennis player who was born in Brisbane, Queensland on 30 March 1984 and was living for six years on the Gold Coast.

Samantha and her family relocated to Adelaide when there was a massive flood that ruined their company and their home and that forced them to go to another place.

Samantha started playing tennis at the age of eight when someone gifted her a racquet on her birthday. Samantha’s parents were working in the café shop they had opened and made Samantha and his elder brother go and learn how to play tennis on a nearby court.

Later, his elder brother convinced their parents to help enrol their daughter in tennis lessons, so she could be better and become a professional. On 6 February 2006, Samantha was the world no.1 in doubles when she attained and also had for 61 straight weeks.

Samantha was also the no.4 for the former top ten singles in 2011 on 21 February and also from March 2010 to June 2013ans was able to maintain it for 165 weeks. In the Australian singles players, Samantha held the top position for 452 weeks and was able to stay in the top 25 for no straight years.
