Sandy Roberts, a renowned Australian pundit, is highly regarded in his country. Known for his amiable demeanor and genuine passion for sports, he has earned the adoration of fans and colleagues alike. Sandy Roberts served as a reliable presence on the Seven Network for an impressive four decades. One of his most notable contributions was his role as a host in Seven Sports’ coverage of the Olympics for over 20 years.

Before his successful career, Sandy Roberts initially worked as a copyboy for the Adelaide News. He then embarked on his journey in the media industry, starting with the Perth radio station 6 PM. After spending two years traveling extensively across Europe, Roberts began his tenure as an announcer for Radio 3CS Colac in Australia.

In 1971, Sandy Roberts made a career transition to become a newscaster at BCV8-TV in Bendigo.

Sandy Roberts’s health problems

At the age of 73, Roberts was diagnosed with myeloma in May of the preceding year. Myeloma is recognized as having the lowest survival rate among all blood cancers.
