Singer Selena Gomez was a sight to behold at the MTV VMAs 2023 on Tuesday night. She looked stunning in a red lacy dress with a high slit on the side.

For the occasion, Gomez chose to go with an Oscar de la Renta dress, complete with strands of the red flowery lace running loose down her body.
The songstress hadn’t confirmed her RSVP publicly before the event. However, her appearance at the event wasn’t a complete surprise as she has been nominated for Song of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, and the Best Afrobeats VMA Awards. So it is likely that she will be picking up an award or two tonight for her collaboration with Rema, “Calm Down.”
“‘Calm Down’ is about the events that led me to finding love at the time,” Rema told Pitchfork about the song. “It started at a party where I saw a girl who stood out from other girls so I felt like shooting my shot. We spoke and danced… but her friends didn’t let me get any closer which killed the vibe, but afterwards when they weren’t there, we stayed in touch and hit it off.”
The last time Gomez attended the VMAs was back in 2015 when she wore a simple, figure-hugging black dress and hung out with bestie, Taylor Swift.
