Vadodara, Oct 5 (IANS) More than 12 humans were detained by the police after a communal conflict broke out in Vadodara’s Gorwa region over hoisting of non secular flags on Tuesday night.

Both the warring companies indulged in stone pelting, forcing the police to resort to lathi price to disperse the mob.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, S.M. Varotaria, advised the nearby media, “On Tuesday night, religious agencies wanted to place up religious flags on a tree. The clash broke following arguments over whose flags could be hoisted better.

Both aspects began pelting stones on every other, but the police reached the spot on time and dispersed the mob after moderate lathi charge. Adequate police pressure has been deployed inside the region to preserve law and order.”

The officer added that based on CCTV footage, the police have rounded up around 12 to 18 folks, and more could be detained for illegal meeting and violence.

In some other incident, a clash between companies become reported from Kharod village in Mehsana district.

On Tuesday night time, a group of have been reportedly making noise whilst holding a celebration to which every other institution belonging to a different caste objected, leading to a clash. The police needed to rush to the spot to deliver the scenario below control.
