Shan Masood has also led the Southern Punjab Cricket Team and the Multan Sultans. For the 2023 County season, Shan Masood will lead Yorkshire County Cricket Club. He competed for Pakistan in cricket, where they finished second at the ICC World T20 in 2022. In Kuwait, where Shan Masood was born in 1989, his father was a bank employee.

Following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and the onset of the Gulf War, Shan Masood’s family made the decision to leave Kuwait and return to their native country, Pakistan. They resettled in Karachi, which was their previous place of residence.
