In the wake of his divorce with British-born actress, Mia Goth, so much has gone over the roof concerning what many perceive to be a pattern in LaBeouf’s relationships. After meeting on the set of Nymphomaniac in 2012, Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth began a romantic relationship that culminated in marriage in October 2016. Although the details have been vague, their failed marriage has continued to pique the interest of many as they were only life partners for 23 months; they filed for divorce in September of 2018.

Goth isn’t the first famous woman the actor has loved. Before their relationship, Shia had dated a good number of incredible women, including the famous singer, Rihanna, in 2007. FKA Twigs is an English singer-songwriter, who was born on the 16th of January 1988. Although she is popular as FKA Twigs, her real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett. The British singer has been active in the entertainment industry since 2004 and was once in a relationship with actor Robert Pattinson. Reports have it that Twigs began dating the English actor sometime in September 2014, and it was rumored that they were engaged at some point, but what was confirmed was their split in 2017. It was after this that the singer began a relationship with Shia, precisely in September 2018, a few days after Shia confirmed his divorce from Mia Goth.

As the story goes, Shia and FKA Twigs met on the set of Honey Boy in 2018. They started dating after Shia’s split from Mia, and it was reported that they were happy together. But then, it wasn’t a relationship that was meant to thrive. In June 2019, it emerged that the lovers had drifted apart. Shia Saide LaBeouf was born on June 11, 1986, in Los Angeles, California, to the family of Jeffrey Craig and Shayna LaBeouf, both of Cajun French and Ashkenazi Jewish descent, respectively. His mother, Shayna, was a ballerina who later became a visual artist and clothing jewelry designer. While his father, Jeffrey, fought in the Vietnam War and later worked several jobs. As an only child, LaBeouf was raised in Los Angeles in a conservative Christian family, but he describes himself as Jewish and rightly so.

Growing up, LaBeouf attended 32nd Street Visual and Performing Arts Magnet in Los Angeles (LAUSD). Also, he attended Alexander Hamilton High School, where he graduated from in 2003. Before launching out as an actor, LaBeouf began his career, practicing comedy mostly around his neighborhood. As he puts it, it was an escapist move from a hostile environment. In 1996, he began performing stand-up at comedy clubs and soon found a manager through the Yellow Pages.

Given the height he has attained in the competitive industry, it is hard to imagine that he was once a struggling actor.

All that changed when he began playing Louis Stevens in 2002. He portrayed that character in 65 episodes of the comedy-family TV series that aired on Disney Channel. The role won him an Emmy Awards for Outstanding Performer in a Children’s series and nominations for Young Artist and Young Star Awards.

He also starred on the Transformers film series between 2007 and 2011. The actor was the main protagonist of the blockbuster science fiction film, wherein he played Sam Witwicky. Other films and TV shows he has appeared in include Borg vs McEnroe (2017), Man Down (2015), Fury (2014), The Company You Keep (2012), Eagle Eye (2008), Disturbia (2007), Surf’s Up (2007), and of course, Nymphomaniac: Vol. II (2013), where he met his ex-wife, Mia Goth. Of all the movies he has appeared in, Shia LaBeouf has directed at least 9, produced not less than 6, and has been credited as a writer on at least 4. As expected, all that hasn’t gone unnoticed as LeBeouf has clinched 16 wins out of over 51 award nominations and still counting.
