Shinzo Abe was born on 21 September 1954 in Shinjuku, Tokyo in Japan into a political family. His parents were Shintaro Abe, his father and Yoko Abe, His mother.

He was the Prime Minister of Japan from 26 December 2012 to 16 September 2020, serving under the Monarch Akihito Naruhito.

Abe was also a member of the Liberal Democratic Party, serving as the party’s president between 26 September 2012 and 14 September 2020.

In the 1993 elections, Shinzo Abe was elected to the House of Representatives of Japan, representing the Yamaguchi first district.

Shinzo Abe was married to Akie Matsuzaki Abe in 1987 but did not have any child. The couple underwent a series of fertility treatments but they were all to no avail.

Shinzo Abe cause of death

Shinzo Abe died on 8 July 2022 at the age of 67 from a shooting. He was assassinated by Yamagami Tetsuya during a campaign speech delivery in Nara, Japan.

He was rushed to the hospital and died hours later due to his wounds which led to a cardiopulmonary arrest.
