Shinzo Abe Grandparents: Nobusuke Kishi

Nobusuke Kishi was a Japanese bureaucrat and politician who lived from 13 November 1896 to 7 August 1987. He is the father of Yoko Kishi, Shinzo Abe’s mother.

Kishi served the Japanese government as the Prime Minister from 1957 to 1960. He was also a member of the Liberal Democratic Party.

Nobusuke Kishi was imprisoned for three years on account of being a suspected Class-A war criminal after the Second World War.

Shinzo Abe Grandparents: Kan Abe

Kan Abe is also the paternal grandfather of Shinzo Abe, being the father of Shintaro Abe.

Kan Abe was a member of the Japanese House of Representatives from 1937 to 1946 as an independent candidate.
