In 2003, she rose to the limelight following her indispensable excellent performance in The Classic and summer Scent which followed with some of the commercially successful A Moment to Remember and April Snow.
Her early rose in films and applaudable performance gave her the name “Nations first Love” in Korea.
Early January 2021, after the deadly spread of the coronavirus it was confirmed that Son was in a romantic relationship with a Korean actor, Hyun Bin, her co-star in the 2018 movie The Negotiations and Crash Landing on You which premiered between 2019-2020.
