She became the first woman to lead either party in the Georgia General Assembly, a position she held for about seven years.

She founded Fair Fight after an unsuccessful run for Georgia governor in 2018 to introduce new voters. Stacey also published eight romantic thriller books under the pen name Selena Montgomery, in addition to her political career.

As a lawyer, Abrams worked as a tax attorney at Atlanta’s Sutherland Asbill & Brennan law firm, where she focused on tax exemptions, healthcare, and public finance.

Human activist who doubles as a lawyer and politician was born to Robert Abrams, her father and Carolyn Abram, her mother in Wisconsin.
