In his hometown of Waltham in the town of Grimsby, Clifton learned how to dance ballroom and Latin from his parents, former World Champions Keith and Judy Clifton. Clifton was also included in Burn the Floor. The name “Kevin from Grimsby” was bestowed upon him by Sir Bruce Forsyth.
