Ștefania Mărăcineanu was known to be a Romanian Physicist who died some 78 years ago in Bucharest, Romania. According to the reports she was known to have worked with one Marie Curie where they studied an element named for Curie’s homeland Polonium. Ștefania Mărăcineanu was born on June 18, 1882 and later died on August 15, 1994 in Bucharest, Romania.

 

She was responsible for the proposal that led to the noble Joliot-Curie’s Noble Prize. She had the conviction that, she had taken her work on artificial radioactivity to gain the prize.

 

Mărăcineanu going into her personal life was known to have had an unhappy childhood life growing up, she was known to have completed high school at the Central School for Girls in her native city. She gained admission at the University of Bucharest in the year 1907 where she received her degree in Physical and chemical science in the year 1910. She was known to secure a teaching position at Central School for Girls in Bucharest.

Ștefania Mărăcineanu was known also for her poems at the time of her existence. She wrote most of her poems in Roman Language. She was a great poet alongside her physician personality.
