Steven was a fairly regular guy. Steven Tuomi was raised in Ontonagon, Michigan, where in 1981 he graduated from Ontonagon Area High School. So why did they just disappear? Tuomi left behind his entire wardrobe in addition to several paychecks from his job.
Three months after he was last seen, in December, his family formally reported Steven missing to the police after making vain attempts to find him on their own. They didn’t find out where Steven Tuomi had gone until 1991. As you can see, authorities eventually apprehended notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, in 1991.
