Sydney Colson and Danielle Adams, a centre for the San Antonio Stars, were on her team. She assisted the Aggies in their NCAA title victory during her senior season. In the third round (28th overall) of the 2012 WNBA Draft, the Chicago Sky selected Carter.
On March 18, 2013, Carter consented to train with the Atlanta Dream. The deal was broken prior to the start of the regular season. The Connecticut Sun acquired Carter on June 10, 2013, for an undisclosed price.
Carter, though, continued to play basketball. She started playing for the Connecticut Sun on June 10, 2013, however, she only stayed for a brief time.
Carter is the assistant coach for the Texas A&M women’s basketball team, where she is in charge of player development and is an important role model for young basketball players. Carter is no longer a professional athlete, yet she still has a significant influence on the sport she enjoys.
