Sydney Carter is a retired American professional basketball player, she was born on November 18, 1990, in Dallas, Texas. She played as a point guard during her basketball career, and she is 5’6″ tall.

Carter attended DeSoto High School, where she played basketball and was a part of the team that won two Texas state championships in 2006 and 2008. She was named the Texas Gatorade Player of the Year in her senior year and was also a McDonald’s All-American.

After high school, Carter enrolled at Texas A&M University, where she played basketball for the Aggies from 2008 to 2012.

During her time at Texas A&M, she helped the team win the 2011 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship, where she was named to the All-Tournament team. Carter was also a two-time All-Big 12 selection and a two-time Big 12 All-Defensive team member.
