Kirshnik Khari Ball known professionally as Takeoff was an American rapper, born on June 18, 1994, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, U.S. Takeoff was known best as a member of the hip hop trio Migos along with his uncle Quavo and first cousin once removed offset.

With the help of Lil Uzi Vert, Migos peaked at number one with “Bad and Boujee,” which peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 during the week of January 21, 2017. The Recording Industry Association of America later awarded the song a four-time platinum certification (RIAA).

Takeoff is never featured nor given credit on the song, despite appearing in one of the music video’s backgrounds shots. Takeoff has asserted that the reason he isn’t mentioned in the song is that he was preoccupied while it was being recorded.

He was questioned about his absence by hosts Joe Budden and DJ Akademiks on June 24, 2017, during the filming of Complex’s Everyday Struggle at the BET Awards 2017.

On January 27, 2017, Migos’ second studio album, Culture, was released. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and sold 131,000 album-equivalent units, including 44,000 physical copies, in its first week. In July 2017, the album in the nation received platinum certification.

On November 1, 2022, Takeoff was shot dead in Houston, Texas. Takeoff dead at the age of 28 years old.
