He had his PhD in history from Dibrugarh University in 1988, Professor Tamo Mibang joined Arunachal University and was promoted to professor in 1994. He served as the Association for Adi-Tribal Literature’s General Secretary for a number of years before taking on the roles of Editor of the Arunachal University. His most recent work was a collection of Adi folktales. He was the author of Social Change in Arunachal Pradesh.
He died at the age of 67 on August 6, 2022 due to illness.
