During a passing play in the second quarter, Titans running back Tyjae Spears was tackled hard by the Carolina Panthers secondary, which caused the ball to be caught out of his grasp.

Derrick Lamar Henry Jr. is most known for his affiliation with the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). Known by many as “King Henry,” he stands out for having a powerful “bell cow” style of play and being larger than the average running back.

Henry’s football career began when Rivals.com rated him as a four-star recruit. He ultimately committed to play college ball at the University of Alabama.

Henry played in 39 games over three seasons while attending Alabama, showing off his skills with 3,591 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns on 602 carries. With 285 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 17 receptions, he made an additional contribution. Henry won multiple awards for his exceptional performance, including the Maxwell Award, the Walter Camp Award, the Doak Walker Award, and the coveted Heisman Trophy.

The Tennessee Titans selected Henry in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft (45th overall). In 2018, he moved up from being the team’s backup running back to the starting position.

Henry has become one of the most dominant players in the NFL since taking over as the Titans’ primary running back. He became the first player in NFL history to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season after leading the league in rushing yards in both 2019 and 2020. Henry was also named the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2020 thanks to his outstanding contributions.
