Shatta Wale has stated that the ban on celebrities not advertising for betting firms will in no way affect him.

Shatta Wale is calling on a united front to fight against bodies trying to make living hard for Ghanaian celebrities. He says the Gaming Commission’s ban on celebrities advertising for betting companies won’t have any impact on him but others.

This comes after a new directive from the Gaming Commission that bans Ghanaian celebrities from endorsing sports betting.

A new press statement from the Gaming Commission says “Operators shall not use celebrities in their advertisements to entice the general public to gamble,”.

To ensure the new guideline is followed all advertisement must be approved by the commission to help protect not only underage persons but “the interests of punters, customers and stakeholders,” the statement read.
