Senior Jennifer Harbison was a 17-year-old student at Austin, Texas’ Lanier High School on Payton Gin Road. Sarah, her 15-year-old younger sister, was a freshman on the same campus.

They were both athletes, and Jennifer was working at the yoghurt shop at the time of the incident.

The other person working at the business was Eliza Thomas, a 17-year-old who took the position to earn some additional cash. Last but not least was Sarah’s friend Amy Ayers, the youngest of the four at thirteen.
